Are you sure it's a physical 8-way server and not either a dual quad core or quad dual core CPUs? Either way, that is certainly a beefy system. I just finished deploying a [pilot] site using Ektron that is setup on similar hardware (dedicated staging enivronment with seperate web and db servers and a production environment that consists of two load balanced web servers and a single db server).
