Tracking the Threat

trackingthethreat.com: This is a really interesting Flash interface to navigate through terrorist networks. You can find an event, expand it to find out who all the players were, then expand them to find out to what events they were connected.

I don’t know how accurate it is from an intelligence standpoint, but the interface is well done and could be adapted to about anything that requires neural navigation. In this sense, it’s a like CNet’s The Big Picture that we talked about a few months ago.

Link analysis is used in both intel and police work. Interesting setup. What they need to do is have some sort of ability to save the info, so you can send it around your team. And versioning would be good too.
