How Microsoft Does IT

Am I the only one who wonders how Microsoft IT folks handle the computer systems and network of that large of a company?

If so, only I will appreciate the huge resource that is How Microsoft Does IT.

It is interesting and useful if you are on their Enterprise level. I wish I could find some sites or info on scaling websites that are growing rapidly. I host a site on Windows running .Net 2.0 and SQL Server and I don't fully understand how to rapidly upgrade to handle burts of huge increases when we run a marketing campaign.

We used to host the Minnesota Vikings site - Very busy every Sunday.

2 IIS boxes load balanced with an Alteon Switch and lots of bandwidth baby!
