The Chrysler Building: Back in 2001 - 2002, Salon had a “masterpiece” series, where they paid homage to what they considered great works of art, in whatever medium.

I don’t remember any of them except this one that I stumbed on again the other day about my favorite building: The Chrysler Building.

The Chrysler Building is shorter than its fellow art deco triumph, the Empire State Building […], but it looks so much more significant. The Chrysler Building is indisputably the gem of the city’s skyline.

Worth reading if you’re an architecture groupie.
