This is a quote from a post one year ago today.

Do you suppose the guys at Ansari X-Prize might be able to provide some incentive to speed this project up a bit? Gas was at $1.94 today.

I wouldn't try to revive the dead horse discussion about free hydrogen power, but I still wonder if some huge incentive like the Ansari X-Prize might be a good motivator for some new and great solution to $2.75 gas prices.

Petrol is 96.9p a litre where I live in the UK. That’s the equivalent to $8.40 a gallon! You have no reason to complain about fuel hitting $2 a gallon

Oh, you're absolutely right, no question. If gas was $8.40 a gallon over here, we'd at least be a lot more sensible about what cars we choose to drive.
