I wouldn't try to revive the dead horse discussion about free hydrogen power, but I still wonder if some huge incentive like the Ansari X-Prize might be a good motivator for some new and great solution to $2.75 gas prices.

Oh, you're absolutely right, no question. If gas was $8.40 a gallon over here, we'd at least be a lot more sensible about what cars we choose to drive.
