WS_FTP Activation Suckery

I paved my machine a couple days ago, and went to re-install WS_FTP Pro, but couldn’t — it had “already been activated.” I wrote them and got this response:

You have been given one extra activation on your license key. […] To accommodate unforeseen circumstances, Ipswitch allows an extra installation and activation with the same license key.

What this means is you have to buy a new copy of WS_FTP (at $50 a pop) if you have to reinstall more than once. That sucks.

Just download Total Commander instead.

Does more (a LOT more) and costs less.

I got screwed by IPswitch, too. They can suck it as far as I am concerned.
