Tivo to Highlight Advertising

TiVo to encourage viewers to watch commercials: Tivo is trying to play nice with the TV networks by throwing their advertisers a bone.

[Tivo] has announced plans to insert symbols that identify advertisers during commercial breaks, making them more visible even when a customer is fast forwarding through them.

But how are they storing these long format commercials? Are the stealing my storage space to show me advertisements I don't want?

This could be enough to get me to get rid of my tivo and buy a tv card for my HTPC.
