Have ‘Star Wars’ questions? Ask Lucasfilm: USA Today sat down with some people from Lucasfilm to clear up some Revenge of the Sith plot holes.
Q: No female Wookiees?
A: Though Chewbacca’s warrior chums all appear to be male, the fur makes it difficult to tell at a glance. In fact, a female Wookiee (Chewbacca’s wife, Malla) was featured in the 1978 Star Wars holiday TV special.

Oh man, that's awesome. Just awesome. Great site.
I'm curious about something. In the later films, Luke asks Leia if she remembers her real mother. Leia says that her real mother was always so sad. How Leia recall this if Padme died in child birth. Also, Obi-wan tells Luke that his father wanted him to have his lightsaber. Anakin never says this. Could you clear this up for me.
In episode 4, govenor tarken says that the last reminence of the old republic had been swept away. and in episode 6 of the special edition, they show a scene of corsont. If the republic was swept away, that means coresont would be gone.
And now for something completely geeky:
Leia says that her real mother was always so sad. How Leia recall this if Padme died in child birth.
The actual line went something like this: "She was very beautiful. Kind, but...sad." That doesn't mean she met her mother, just that she has memories of her being sad. The Force works in mysterious ways.
Obi-wan tells Luke that his father wanted him to have his lightsaber. Anakin never says this.
He also goes on to say that Darth Vader killed Luke's father. He wanted Luke to think his father was a good guy.
If the republic was swept away, that means coresont would be gone.
Republic, meaning government. Tarkin says Emperor Palpatine gave the regional governors direct control over their systems, he never said anything about wiping out Coruscant.
