eRoom 7 Tour: This product has come a long way from when Documentum originally acquired it in late 2002 (link goes to a well-done Flash demo). It seems to have become very Groove-like (minus the peer-to-peer architecture) and may be approaching collaboration utopia. But, it’s expensive and it runs on top of the monolithic app that is Documentum.
What I’ve always found interesting about Documentum is their customization of their tools for different verticals. They started with just the pharmaceutical industry, then expanded to general content and document management. They still issue industry specific versions of their apps: Financial Services, Life Sciences, Professional Services, etc. I’d be curious to know how this affects sales to those markets.
