When Geeks Marry

Carol Shaw’s Home Page: You know you were on the Web early when you’ve got a domain name like this. And you know you run in wicked geek circles when you’re married to this guy — read the entire front page on his site. This guy’s got geek cred dripping out his ears.

The scenario I get is that he was a way, way early adopter of the Web (working at PARC for 11 years will do that), and somehow married a woman who wanted her own Web page, and was early enough to get her first name as a domain.

These two are like the Barbie and Ken of geeks. Last I checked, my wife didn’t have a Web site, much less one with a page for Molecular Assembly Sequence Software.

Did you follow the link about the project his dad was leading up? http://www.merkle.com/pluto/pluto.html - Project Pluto (The Flying Crowbar) - At the dawn of the atomic age, scientists began work on what might have been the nastiest weapon ever conceived.

Crazy stuff!
