Interface Evolution

macosx.jpg As long as we’re in Mac Mode, check out this visual history of Apple’s desktop interfaces, starting with early Lisa prototypes created on the Apple ][ in 1979. Along the way, the loaded up the interface with newfangled gizmos like the “mouse”, and “scroll-bars”.

What’s most interesting is that there are a couple of concepts in the early Lisa sketches that didn’t see the light of day until OS X.
