Emporis is a provider of building-related data. The building industry widely uses Emporis to publish and analyze information about the real-estate and building markets.
In other words it’s a site filled with facts about and photos of some of the most amazing buildings in the world. Some of my personal favorites: 30 St Mary Axe, 111 Huntington Avenue and Kingdom Centre.

Yeah, I've been here. It is as addictive as hell.
The best part is that somewhere in the site, they have a point-based system to rate city skylines. They give each building a point value based on how high it is, then they count all the buildings to rate the "value" of the skyline of a city.
I won't reveal the winner, but I remember that New York City was 2nd, and -- if I remember correctly -- the winner had three times the points of New York.
